Avengers 4: 11 Things That MUST Happen
5. Captain Marvel Saves The Universe
Infinity War's post-credits scene made it abundantly clear that Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) will have a pivotal role in Avengers 4, though how exactly Nick Fury's (Samuel L. Jackson) pager message brings her into the fold and where she's been hanging out both remain a mystery.
Carol Danvers' own solo movie next March will doubtless clarify the specifics of her involvement, and considering that Kevin Feige has claimed her to be the most powerful character in the entire MCU, her role in A4 needs to unambiguously live up to that lofty claim.
It's not much of a leap to guess that Captain Marvel is instrumental in the Avengers defeating Thanos, but this needs to be cemented with an especially incredible, awe-inspiring show of force that tops anything we've ever seen in the MCU to date. It needs to be a moment that makes all the surrounding Avengers turn their heads in agape amazement.
Given that fans have been waiting far too long for a female superhero to get her own solo movie and a frontline role alongside the series' most iconic heroes - sorry, Black Widow's not quite good enough - an Earth-shattering display of Danvers' powers would function as an apt apology for this prolonged wait.
