Avengers 4: Predicting The Fate Of Every Avenger

6. Thor

Current Status: Alive on Earth

His Avengers 4 Fate: Thor has been on a crazy journey since he was first introduced in his 2011 solo movie.

During Phase One of the MCU, Iron Man was everybody's favourite, and then, Phase Two saw Cap snatch that crown. Now, after the hilarious Ragnarok and his awesome showing in Infinity War, Thor has emerged as a bonafide #1 contender for the top spot, and it really does feel like this all-new version of the character has a lot of untapped potential for Avengers sequels, as well as more Thor movies.

So yes, don't expect Thor to die in Avengers 4 - it feels like he's only just getting started. He probably also won't get a fatal shot at Thanos, or it could start to feel like Avengers 4 is just taking Infinity War, and reversing its biggest moments.

Since Thor had so much screentime in Infinity War, his role will most likely be reduced in Avengers 4, relegating him to battle scenes and quick lines of dialogue - certainly nothing like his emotional conversation with Rocket. But he's bound to get a handful of thunderous scenes, and the end of the movie could very well find him setting off to try and rebuild his homeworld, and help any remaining Asgardians.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for over ten years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
