Avengers 4 Theory: Why Ant-Man Is Key To Time Travel (And Undoing Infinity War)

Corporate saboteur Ghost might well be the key to all of this. It may be her new technology that offers Hank Pym the chance to travel effortlessly into the Quantum Realm and back out safely. Not Ant-Man's suit.

The hint of that comes from the official descriptions of her, which state that she uses the advanced technology of Hank Pym and the Quantum Realm to phase through solid objects and beings. Given that we know that Pym's technology in the Ant-Man suit doesn't allow those powers, it's safe to assume that Ghost has taken existing technology and developed it further.

It's key to consider the fact that Ghost actually manipulates the Quantum Realm (or portals into it, at least) rather than simply entering it. Her armour and the abilities we've seen in the trailers suggest that her technology manipulates dimensions, which is a huge deal when you consider the possibilities for time travel. If time doesn't matter in the Quantum Realm, there is no linear sense of time, therefore the Quantum Realm exists as a fixed point as the timeline in the MCU's timeline.

In other words, if Captain America entered the Quantum Realm in the 40s or Agent Carter did in the 60s or The Wasp did in the late '80s or Ant-Man did in 2018, they would all enter the same point in the Quantum Realm. That essentially makes it a crossroads, that could be used as such if someone had the ability to manipulate entry and exit from the Realm. Which is exactly what Ghost seems able to do.

There's still a missing point though. Where does the technology come from? But, what if the existing technology that Ghost stole was actually different from the Ant-Man armour?
