Avengers 4 Title: 8 Huge Predictions After The Russos' Teaser

3. Avengers: End Game

The Russos might have said there's no way that the film will be called End Game, but there's still a lot of evidence that it might well be.

The Twitter image obviously has a prominent A and E symbol, which could be what the Russos are telling us to "look hard" at, and some of the more... adventurous theorists have claimed that the image itself "reads" endgame. And of course, the title fits with both Doctor Strange AND Tony Stark using that phrase in past Avengers movies. If it's confirmed, that all looks like clever seeding, if not, it looks like a weird coincidence.

It might simply be that the Russos simply denied the title because someone guessed it and they were saving face to release the story on their own terms?

Crucially, in the same way Spider-Man: Homecoming used a title from an obscure comic and left the story alone (aside from a general narrative theme of post-traumatic come-down for Spidey), Endgame was actually an Avengers comic from 1969, which was primarily concerned with the heroes being teleported back in time. That would mirror Homecoming's title choice, absolutely, and it's hard to see past it.
