Avengers 4 Trailer: 7 Things To Expect (& 3 Things Not To)

6. Footage From Previous Movies

It’s been said that Marvel are marketing this movie in a completely different way to how they’ve approached the others. It remains to be seen what that actually means, and it could all just be hyperbole, but one part of it would be to include footage from previous movies.

After all, this isn’t just the conclusion to the Infinity storyline; it’s the culmination of over a decade’s worth of movies, storylines, and character development. It is the end of the MCU as we know it.

This would be similar to the voiceovers in the Infinity War trailer, but taking it a step further. We’d see pivotal moments from every hero’s journey, perhaps covering the first half of the trailer: Tony Stark announces he is Iron Man, Steve Rogers says he stands up to bullies, Hulk does...whatever it is that happened in The Incredible Hulk, and so on.

Seeing events from all the movies, spun together to coalesce as one ‘it’s all been leading to this moment’, would be a great way of building hype and tapping into broader MCU nostalgia too.
