9. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr)

The opening of the trailer sees us reunited with a gaunt, desperate-looking Tony Stark, who was last seen seemingly stranded on Titan with Nebula. he wasn't entirely stranded, because he has the Guardians ship, the Benatar, which is still functional after the Guardians make it to Titan themselves.

The strangest thing is that we don't see him with Nebula, though she is definitely aboard the ship at some point. That's inspired some suggestion that she abandons him or goes off on a mission herself, but it's probably just been made to look that way. Curiously, Titan cannot be all that far away from Earth, given the short time it took to get from Earth to Titan in Infinity War, so this may suggest that Stark has gone elsewhere and not merely attempted to get to Earth.

Regardless, he's on the verge of starvation (and is presumably out of fuel), sending his last message to Pepper. And there are two possibilities here: either he dies in space alone or he's rescued. If it's the latter, you'd have to suspect we'd be looking at Captain Marvel rescuing him, but there's also a chance that Potts herself - as Rescue - flies to his suit's signal (somehow) and rescues him.

That doesn't mean he won't still die by the end, though.
