Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 10 Spoilers From The Toy Line

2. Loki's Sceptre

Loki's sceptre reappeared in the mid-credits scene of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, so it was obvious that it would have some sort of role to play in Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Similar to what's been happening in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., it has the ability to unlock the hidden abilities of those with Inhuman ancestry (which is how Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver receive their abilities). However, it clearly has a bigger role in the sequel than expected. It's been rumoured that the sceptre - believed to be one of Thanos' Infinity Stones - plays a role in creating Ultron, but regardless of whether or not that's true, it seems as if he takes it with him when he first emerges in his rough form. That will more than likely end up playing a big role in the movie, as Ultron will no doubt have some sort of nefarious plan for the weapon. Perhaps he'll use it to reach out to Thanos, as that's how Loki communicated with The Other.
