Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 32 Easter Eggs, In-Jokes And References
18. Ulysses Klaue
As expected, Andy Serkis does indeed play Marvel villain Ulysses Klaw (or Klaue here), though his origin story has been played with somewhat. Rather than him losing his hand to Black Panther's vengeance (after killing his father), Ultron cuts his arm off accidentally and sends him scurrying to the shadows.
The film version of the character has incorporated elements of his father in the comics, who was a smuggler and ally to Baron Strucker, but he's unmistakably going to be the Black Panther big bad.
His working with Ultron is clearly a reference to the Masters Of Evil villain team, which saw him manipulated into battling the Avengers by Ultron under the Crimson Cowl.
