8. Thor Dies
One of the most hotly discussed points of the second trailer was the identity of the mysterious female figure seen standing at the edge of a pool. Some postulated her to be a Wakanda resident (more on that soon), but the more compelling theory stems from the fact that Thor is going to die. If Thor's vision of waking up in a pool in Valhalla (in the first trailer) is more than just a construct made by Scarlet Witch (and it makes sense that it is), then he's going to have to die at the hands of Ultron (or of Hulk, if Ultron manipulates it that way). Only those two are likely to be able to take him down. His death - or at least his exile to Valhalla - would perfectly set up the events of Thor: Ragnarok, as Loki would have no obstacles to taking over Asgard with his brother out of the way, and Odin presumably dead.
