Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 10 Awesome Moments (Not In The Trailer)

1. A Major Character Dies

Long before the official trailer was released, Whedon was asked what his general philosophy would be for Avengers: Age Of Ultron. The answer? €œDeath, death and death.€ With three words, the acclaimed director spun the internet into a frenzy, prompting a flurry of rumors regarding the fate of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Many were quick to point out that while the principal actors are signed up for a number of Marvel movies, contracts don't last forever and Marvel need to begin making room for new characters who will be introduced in Phase 3. The darker tone of the trailer suggests that Avengers: Age Of Ultron will be a more intense affair than the first movie and conflict both within and outside the group could easily set up the death of a major character. Whedon can only continue adding new heroes for so long until the team is too big to be balanced effectively in an ensemble piece. Agent Coulson's death in The Avengers was a powerful and bold move to take, but the characters subsequent resurrection on TV cheapened the overall impact, so if Whedon does intend on killing off a principal hero, let's hope we aren't cheated once again by a comic book style return from death. While heroes like Captain America and Iron Man appear safe due to scheduled appearances in upcoming movies, there's always the chance that any one of these characters could be replaced by new heroes who adopt the same mantle. For example, Sebastian Stan has signed a huge multi-picture deal to play the Winter Soldier in upcoming Marvel movies. Just saying. Which one of these moments has got you most excited for Avengers: Age Of Ultron? Can you think of any more potential scenes we've missed? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
