10. Android Loving
While casual audiences will be unaware of the history between new Avengers Scarlet Witch and The Vision, comic book fans will be all too familiar with one of Marvel's strangest romances. Love between a mutant and an android may be frowned upon by the less liberal among you, but the relationship between Wanda and The Vision became central to many pivotal Avengers story lines over the years. After becoming romantically involved, the unusual couple eventually married and, through Wanda's magical abilities, the two were able to have twin boys named Thomas and William. Somehow, the children were later revealed to be fragments of the demon Mephisto's soul and were then absorbed back into him, which drove the Scarlet Witch insane, leading to a separation between her and The Vision. Standard comic book romance. Any director who attempts to translate this saga into a live-action movie is probably off their medication, but it would be surprising if Whedon didn't reference the romantic history of the Scarlet Witch and The Vision in even just an off-hand remark for the comic book fans to enjoy. It's either that or subtly reference the incestuous relationship Wanda and her brother Quicksilver share in the Ultimate comic book line. And it's clear which way the censors would rather go...
