A scene showing all of the Avengers looking dead was played at Comic Con and, while it's fairly obvious that they all aren't going to die, there's a distinct possibility that at least one of them will. With a roster now consisting of Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow and newcomers Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver (as well as, potentially, Vision and War Machine) it's getting a little crowded in the Avengers camp. That's not to mention that the likes of Ant-Man, Doctor Strange and Black Panther are all coming, so someone needs to die to make way - simply for logistical purposes on screen.
