5. A More Mature Tony

Tony Stark has become insanely popular not only because of the suit, but also from Robert Downey Jr's charm and natural charisma. To clarify, the first entry does not suggest Tony€™s witty one liners and slick dialogue should be removed. Whedon would be ridiculous to scale back the qualities that embody his character. Instead, the title suggests Tony should help improve the world through other means than vigilante heroism. Remember in the first Iron Man how Tony states that Stark Industries was advancing medical technology and preventing starvation through intelli-crops? Iron-Man 2 and 3 left this seemingly throw-away line alone. Thankfully, The Avengers showed Stark continuing this by creating the Arc-Reactor powered Stark Tower. In his words he called it, "A beacon of clean energy." Iron Man 3 took us through Tony€™s journey of renewal and discovery. His emotional outbursts lead to him threatening and revealing the location of his home to the Mandarin. This immature action not only almost killed him, but also put the life of his girlfriend Pepper Potts and Maya Hansen in grave danger. By the end of the film, Tony understands he no longer needs to the suit to be a hero. Age of Ultron should see Tony, now wiser, attempting to rid the world of war and terrorism, world hunger, etc., by using Stark Industries vast resources and his genius knowledge.
