7. Ruffalo and RDJ Are The Greatest
Marvel StudiosThis isnt to take anything away from any of the other stars of the Avengers franchise. Chris Hemsworth is perfectly cast as the God of Thunder, managing to play Asgardian gentleman prince and hotheaded beefcake at one and the same time without breaking a sweat. Meanwhile, Chris Evans essays the most difficult role in the franchise making a boy scout dressed in a flag both real and likeable and never puts a foot wrong. But its Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jnr. who are arguably the two most charismatic actors in the franchise, and probably the most loved even though the former has never played Banner in a Hulk movie of his own. RDJs credentials are a matter of public record by now, given that hes starred in four massive hit movies as Stark. But lets look at Ruffalo. Remember that scene in the hut in Avengers with Black Widow attempting to persuade Banner to join her on the way to the Helicarrier? Ruffalo nails a self-deprecating sense of humour mingled with resigned despair, and while theres not even a sniff of the Hulk, the scene is fraught with tension as Banner plays with Romanoffs fear of what would happen if the Hulk got out. Thats all down to Ruffalo, whos been stealing movies for about as long as hes been acting in them. Theres pretty much nothing that these two cant do onscreen given the opportunity, but especially when
