Avengers: Endgame - 11 New Heroes It Could Introduce

5. Shang-Chi

Shang-Chi is one of several Marvel characters set to make their live action debut in the coming years, and though no actor has been cast in the role yet, there's still time for Marvel to work in an easter egg or cameo for one of Endgame's two post-credits sequences.

News this week confirmed that Destin Daniel Cretton would direct the film, while Dave Callaham (who also worked on Wonder Woman 1984) would write the script. We can probably expect some casting news to emerge in the months to come, but until then, there's no point in ruling out Shang-Chi from Endgame - not yet at least.

Created by Steve Englehart and Jim Starlin, Shang-Chi is the Marvel Universe's foremost martial artist with a somewhat chequered past. He originally came to Marvel through their acquisition of the Fu-Manchu license, and though we know very little about his film, we can expect Marvel to take a modernising approach to the character.
