Avengers: Endgame - Every Major Character's Best Moment
25. Loki Lives...Kinda
Even though Loki (Tom Hiddleston) was murdered by Thanos at the start of Infinity War, the character's just too damn good to write off entirely.
As such, when the Avengers end up heading back to 2012's Battle of New York to retrieve the Space, Time and Power Stones, it's an all-too-natural in to give the God of Mischief another go-around.
Loki's role is small but memorable in the movie, with his capture at the end of The Avengers being depicted from another perspective - even explaining how he ended up slapped with that ridiculous muzzle.
But his best moment surely sees his 2012 self sneaking off with the Tesseract while everybody's distracted, disappearing through a portal to parts unknown and forcing Tony to acquire the Space Stone from 1970 instead.
In addition to being firmly in line with Loki's trickster ways, it provides an easy opening for the planned Loki Disney+ TV show without fully undermining Thanos' claim of "no resurrections this time" in Infinity War.
