Avengers: Endgame Trailer 3 Breakdown - 13 NEW Things You Need To See

1. Thanos Arrives

There's been one person very conspicuous by his absence throughout the Endgame marketing, and that's Thanos himself. The Mad Titan appeared briefly in the first teaser - well, his hand and his armour did - as he enjoyed his 'well-earned' retirement, but now he's back in a big way.

He teleports into the scene before them, telling them: "You could not live with your own failure. And where did that bring you? Back to me." This confirms beyond all doubt that they need to on Thanos again directly, and that no matter what else they try, they've got to go through him.

What's particularly interesting, though, is that the shots of Thanos do appear to be different. There's the one where he teleports into the scene before them (like the two above), but then there's the one where they approach him below. There, he's sitting with his new, huge, double-bladed sword next to him. That looks like the first meeting, after they go into space, with the one above then perhaps coming later in the movie.
