Avengers: Endgame Trailer - Every Snap Survivor We Didn’t See (And Where They Could Be)

Last Seen: The Wakandan battlefield, mourning Groot (Avengers: Infinity War).

What's His Role In Endgame? Rocket felt like a glaring omission from the Endgame trailer. He's the definition of a fan-favourite character, and since we got to see (almost) every Avenger who was left alive in Wakanda, it's weird that he didn't pop up for even a couple of frames.

But maybe he wasn't shown for a reason. Rocket has a history of letting his emotions get the better of him; he's brash, prone to sulking, and always quick to get angry. He just saw his best friend die before his very eyes. Won't that have an effect on him? Maybe Rocket wasn't shown along with the other Earth-based Avengers because he isn't on Earth. He might have gone into space to seek answers, have his revenge, or just to be alone.

Alternatively, if the film involves our heroes travelling in time to build an Infinity Gauntlet, as is strongly rumoured, then Rocket is the only surviving Earth-based Avenger who knows where the Power Stone was located (when it was on Xandar pre-Infinity War). That alone makes him invaluable to the team, and will ensure he is an important part of the story.

No matter where he is, Rocket is a tech and weapons expert, and we'll surely see this come into play in Endgame in some capacity - like when he gave Thor that eye in Infinity War. Maybe he ran off with Shuri somewhere, and they're both on a mission together. Who knows.
