Tony Stark's snap in Endgame was supposed to have a similar outcome to Thanos' in Infinity War as he was initially transported to that watery Way Station to meet a different version of his daughter.

With 13 Reasons Why's Katherine Langford playing a matured iteration of Morgan, Tony had a moment to reflect on what he'd done, why he had to do it and what it ultimately meant for his and his family's lives.

While Langford was as powerful as ever, the Russos made the decision to cut the scene because they worried that the audience would feel no emotional connection to this new adult version of Morgan and the simple fact that it ground the film to a halt. And as it was highly expositional, it's safe to say they made the right choice.
