5. Hawkeye

Hawkeye is by far the most boring and least-liked of the core Avengers line-up, basically playing a zombie in the first Avengers film, finally getting some personality and character development in the sequel, and ending up a peripheral player once again in Civil War.

Jeremy Renner sadly can't do much to make his character stand out (as anything other than "the dull one"), and so he's a sure bet to end up feeling Thanos' wrath. While the scene likely won't have major emotional impact, it will strike a certain chord considering how extensively fans have been introduced to Clint's family, and how he's been a core member of the group since the very beginning.

He can die without anyone caring too much, but they'll care just enough to make his demise actually feel worth it, if that makes sense. He's a familiar face, and killing him off will provoke a palpable response.
