9. Thanos Must Assemble The Infinity Stones

To continue with another pretty essential plot happening, then: Infinity War Part 1 will almost certainly either start with (or make a giddy climax out of) galactic overlord and "Big Bad" Thanos bringing the Infinity Stones together and combining them using the Infinity Gauntlet, thus cementing himself as the biggest threat to the MCU to date. The Infinity Gauntlet, of course, allows its user to wield ultimate cosmic power in the broadest sense, which translates to: lots of stuff is gonna get blown up in a big way. Thanos has sent various minions to nab the stones on his behalf, but - at the end of Age of Ultron - decided to do it himself when said attempts failed, time and time again. Which means the big man is finally taking the initiative - something that audiences have been waiting to see for a long old time now. Phew.
