4. The Avengers Must Meet The Guardians Of The Galaxy

If there's any idea as inherently exciting as this one with regards to future MCU plotlines, then... well, there just isn't one, is there? Even Captain America facing off against Tony Stark in the upcoming Civil War flick hasn't got anything on the notion that one day, Star Lord will get to interact with the likes of Iron Man. Or Rocket Racoon will get to banter with Thor, or Bruce Banner, or Hawkeye. And what will Black Widow make of Groot? Or her sexy alien competition, Gamora? Though James Gunn, director of Guardians of the Galaxy and its future follow-up, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, has said that the latter movie will have nothing to do with Infinity War, it seems immensely unlikely that the space-based heroes will be absent from the third Avengers movie come 2018 - it is, after all, the film set to bring together several plotlines that have been moving towards one another for a couple of years now. As a result, it makes sense that all the heroes will come together for a massive showdown in what is arguably going to be the biggest blockbuster ever made.
