2. Will It End With The Finger Snap?

The Question: The marketing has heavily hinted that Infinity War may feature the iconic comic book moment where Thanos wipes out half the universe with one snap of his fingers once he's acquired all the Infinity Stones. But will it actually be the heart-stopping cliffhanger on which the movie ends?

Prediction: The Russos love subverting expectations, but this is one case where they should probably just give the people what they want and what works best for the story, and that's Thanos snapping his damn fingers.

Ending the film with a sombre finger snap and abrupt cut to black would be a suitably dark, Empire Strikes Back-esque way to close out the movie, and serve as a firm rebuke to the more typically upbeat, hopeful notes on which most MCU films end.

If Marvel Studios wants to ensure people are literally gagging to see Avengers 4, it's hard to imagine a more enticing finale, and that's probably exactly what will happen. Predictable? Perhaps, but there are more important things than being surprised.
