Avengers: Infinity War - 11 Questions We Still Have

5. Who Will Die?

The Question: A lot of people are going to die in Infinity War, no question, but with so many potential casualties to choose from, who will the Russos place on the chopping block?

Prediction: First up, all the Nova Corps characters we've met are most certainly dead if Thanos indeed raids Xandar. Thor is also a distinct possibility because he can die, go to Hel and probably find a way out for Avengers 4.

More pressing are the potentially permanent deaths of Iron Man and Captain America (Chris Evans). Downey Jr. has been reluctant to green-light Iron Man 4 for a long time now, and Evans has been keen to transition into a filmmaking career for a while, so both wouldn't be terribly surprising deaths.

Cap is probably the more likely of the two, considering the potential for Bucky (Sebastian Stan) or Falcon (Anthony Mackie) to take up the Cap mantle. However, that's not to forget the possibility that lower-tier Avengers such as Falcon himself, Hawkeye, War Machine (Don Cheadle), Heimdall (Idris Elba) and countless others could be destroyed by Thanos.

Plus, what about Loki? Would Thanos really keep him alive after acquiring the Tesseract from him? Especially after he failed him during the Battle of New York? And there's the chance that the big purple guy wipes out half the universe at the end of the film, which would represent an historically high body count for just about any movie.
