Continuing the theme around Robert Downey Jr's special status on set, it seems that he has an active role in developing the script around his own character.

As Joe Russo clarified, "we are constantly changing little things around [in the script]. We shot a scene today with Tom Holland and Robert, but we re-wrote it in the morning."

So how does RDJ impact the rewriting? Well, his expertise on Tony Stark is unrivalled, according to Russo:

"About 10 minutes before we rolled cameras, we sat down with Robert to get as much authenticity as we could in the scene – and to get all of those colours of Tony Stark that Robert knows better than anybody. Every day is a highly collaborative think-fest on the set of this movie."

No wonder Stark and Downey Jr are so similar.
