11. Thanos Destroys Xandar

The Rumour: We know that Thanos acquires the Power Stone (the Orb) at some point in Infinity War, and all the evidence seems to point to it happening pretty early on.

This will presumably see him annihilating the Nova Corps and taking the stone by force, but what state will Xandar be left in once his rampage is complete? Many fans are speculating he'll use the Power Stone to destroy the planet completely.

How Likely Is It?: Very. Recent TV spots have already shown Thanos activating the Power Stone in the Infinity Gauntlet, and if the Mad Titan uses it to destroy the planet in the movie's opening action sequence, it'd kick things off with one hell of a bang.

After six years of hype, Infinity War needs to persuasively convince fans that Thanos really is the horrifying tyrant he's been built up as, and murdering 12 billion people in the movie's first 10 minutes would be a perfect way to do it. 9/10
