Avengers: Infinity War - 15 Obscure Easter Eggs You Might Have Missed

1. Thanos' Scarecrow

Infinity War's unforgettable yet weirdly serene final scene sees Thanos calmly presiding over a beautiful sunrise on another planet, having successfully carried out his plan to "balance" the universe.

You'll need the eyes of a hawk to catch this, but as the big purple guy passes through the archway of his hut, you can briefly spot his armour resting on a scarecrow.

This might seem like a harmless eccentricity, but it's actually a very deliberate nod to the comics, where at the end of the Infinity Gauntlet series, a defeated Thanos is seen living as a humble farmer, with his armour dressed up on a scarecrow.

The context is entirely different this time, of course: the implication seems to be that Thanos wants to enjoy a good rest having accomplished his mission, but it's still a great little nod for fans of the source material.
