Avengers: Infinity War - 15 Obscure Easter Eggs You Might Have Missed

One of Infinity War's big running gags is that Groot (Vin Diesel) is stuck in the moody teenager phase of his resurrection, and as such he's endlessly addicted to video games while the rest of the Guardians are, you know, actually trying to take Thanos down.

We see Groot playing a pocket version of the classic arcade game Defender numerous times, and it's hard to believe this game was chosen by mere accident.

After all, the logo to the 1981 arcade classic bears an uncanny resemblance to the logo of The Defenders comic book, which predates the existence of the game by a whole decade.

That's to say nothing of the fact that the "plot" to the video game - destroying alien insurgents while protecting humans on the ground - is not dissimilar to Infinity War's core narrative.
