At one point when Tony Stark comes face to face with Thanos, the notorious quip-lover calls the purple alien "Grimace" after the dim-witted character from McDonalds marketing.

While it's clearly supposed to just be a gag at the expense of his looks, there's more to it than that as Thanos would be far more insulted to have his intelligence questioned. Grimace also started out as a villain in McDonalds advertising as he stole milkshakes, which even Thanos seems to draw the line at.
