Plot Predictions: He's very much tied to whatever narrative the other Guardians are, though it wouldn't be ENTIRELY out of place for the Russos to make some allusion to his very being being linked to Infinity Stones. We've heard he was experimented on, but making animals humanoid isn't the kind of science you usually see just lying around...

It's going to be great seeing him clashing with the Avengers, particularly as a couple of them are scientists and he's not a big fan thanks to his backstory. Let's just hope him, Groot and Hulk form a sort of monster dream team...
