24. Heimdall Saves The Hulk

Heimdall (Idris Elba) may not survive past Infinity War's opening scene, but he sure makes his final act count, by mustering what Dark Magic he has left to send The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) to Earth and far away from the reach of Thanos (Josh Brolin).

Heimdall as a character has never really realised his true potential in the MCU, so his death didn't really make much of an emotional impact, but at least he got to go out with quite the courageous final act.

Sure, it ultimately didn't help much, what with the Big Green Guy being sidelined for almost the entirety of the film, but clearly The Hulk's going to be plenty useful in Avengers 4, so it wasn't really for naught.
