12. Captain America

Captain America probably has a massive part to play in the emotional heart of Infinity War: he's going to be the focus for the heart-felt campaign for pro-superhero forces to "prove" that they're good for the people and there's still a pretty nagging suggestion that he might end up being the biggest casualty of the war with Thanos.

Even with that possibility, he's one of the most purely powerful superhumans in the MCU - a genuine, made-to-order superman with a heart as big as his biceps (that counts as a superpower, honestly) and everything you'd want from the guy who will most likely stare Thanos down first. He might not win, but at least he'll look good (and valiant) while he tries.

11. Proxima Midnight

Like Gamora and Nebula, Proxima Midnight is another of Thanos' adoptive daughters (and presumably another who has been carefulyl manipulated into a war machine by her "father" as the other two were).

She's one of the key members of the Black Order and a super powered individual with similar hallmarks to Captain America and Bucky Barnes: super speed, strength, endurance and comparative invulnerability. So she's too fast to hit and even if you could it either wouldn't affect her or she'd recover quickly anyway.

She also comes with a devastatingly powerful spear made by Thanos himself that causes huge damage when used correctly. She's no mere side-kick.
