48. Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell)

Status: Unconfirmed

Peggy Carter wouldn't have even occured to anyone as a possibility for Avengers: Infinity War if it wasn't for a leaked casting call calling for background artists for a 1960s sequence that was added in additional photography. On top of that Hayley Atwell was snapped visiting Marvel HQ, which inevitably inspired rumours about her returning.

That prompted some to wonder about time travel, but the more likely answer is that we'll see some sort of flashback to the early days of SHIELD, perhaps linking to prior knowledge of the Infinity Stones that was suppressed? Or perhaps Thanos uses the past that Cap missed out on to torture him in battle? Either way, it will be good to see her return.

47. Howard Stark (John Slattery)

Status: Unconfirmed

If Peggy Carter is back as part of a SHIELD sequence, that would suggest that Howard Stark probably will be as well. Whether he's played by Dominic Cooper or a deaged John Slattery remains to be seen, but he could well play a part.

46. Jack Rollins (Callan Mulvey)

Status: Confirmed

The HYDRA agent seems an unlikely inclusion, but actor Callan Mulvey was recently added to the Infinity War cast listing on IMDB and there has to be a reason.

Perhaps we'll see Cap still pursuing HYDRA from the underground as the flm starts, with Rollins shown on the run for his involvement in the Triskellian Incident?
