Easily the main reason to see Bad Boys for Life, unsurprisingly, is the ludicrously entertaining central two-hander between Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

Though fans were understandably nervous that the actors would simply phone things in or the chemistry would've fizzled out almost two decades later, it's a genuine pleasure to report that the two haven't missed a single step.

Their quick-fire banter results in many of the film's most entertaining moments, and though both actors largely play the characters as we remember them, the script sensibly adds shade and almost 20 years of context to them in unexpectedly thoughtful ways.

If both Smith and Lawrence haven't enjoyed much critical or commercial success in the movie realm lately, seeing them back in their bread-and-butter franchise, where they're clearly enormously comfortable, is a huge relief.
