3. The Solid Supporting Cast

Though Bad Boys for Life is absolutely defined by the front-and-center work by Smith and Lawrence, it's also boosted immeasurably by a diverse and likeable supporting cast.

In addition to the aforementioned compelling villains, the team of millennial officers teamed up with Mike and Marcus bring a fun new energy to the table without the film feeling like it's excessively trying to appeal to younger audiences.

Vanessa Hudgens in particular is surprisingly convincing as armed-up officer Kelly, though it's Paola Núñez who steals many scenes as the squad's older leader Rita, a spunky officer who inevitably becomes Mike's potential love interest.

These smaller roles collectively add some welcome flavour to the film while not overshadowing the two leading men.
