BASTARDS no more, Quentin's next finds home at Universal!

Now it feels like it is happening. Like, really happening! Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards has found a home at Universal Pictures, who will co-finance the movie with the Weinsteins according to Variety's breaking news story.

Tarantino has met with Brad Pitt (Aldo Raine) and Leonardo DiCaprio (The Jew Hunter "Hans Landa") for the movie, undoubtedly the kind of names that will have got Universal gushing. And if history tells us anything, Quentin's a hard guy to turn down and few have done it.

I would say that Tim Roth and especially Michael Madsen WILL be in this movie too. Probably Bo Svenson, who also appeared in the original movie.

All being well, shooting begins in the fall.

A big studio made, very European meets American style A-list ensemble war picture from the director of Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill and Death Proof!

This goes firmly on my COUNT DOWN THE DAYS TO RELEASE pile!
