1. Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series, Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm )

Was it ever going to be anyone else? Some may argue "Yes!" But for most of us, Kevin Conroy will forever be the quintessential Batman. While some came close, Conroy's voice provided the right balance of darkness, intelligence and inner pain that we come to expect from the Caped Crusader. And it's just that: A voice, nothing else. Sure, the fact that the series was well animated and was written even better was reason enough to keep watching. But it's hard to even think of Batman without hearing Conroy's trademark gruff. Go ahead, pick up your copy of The Long Halloween or The Dark Knight Returns and see what voice pops into your head when you read Batman's dialogue. I'll bet you a set of Bat-Cuffs its Conroy's. I'm aware that Conroy also voices the Dark Knight in the recent video games. Can't really comment on that, since I'm not a gamer. But how could it not be awesome? Do you agree with our choices?
