Batman: Every Screen Batmobile Ranked From Worst To Best

3. Batman/Batman Returns

The Batmobile
Warner Bros.

The first batmobile to premier on a major film (the 60's batmobile started on the tv show, and we'll get to that one in a bit) this batmobile, like the rest of the film, was designed by the incomparable Anton Furst. Anton Furst was really the best guy for the job of designing the world of Batman for his first true movie appearance. His richly detailed gothic style lent so much atmosphere to his vision of Gotham City, the specifics of Batman's gadgets and lair, and of course, the batmobile.

The batmobile would be used less and less as the films went on, which is definitely a shame since it will cost later film batmobiles higher spots on this list, but the original from the 89 movie remains a classic.

From its unique design, to its wide array of weapons and gadgets (including a bomb powerful enough to reduce an entire factory to rubble) this batmobile did pretty much everything you expect the batmobile to do in the limited run of a movie.
