Batman & Harley Quinn Review: 3 Ups & 8 Downs

7. The Animation Is Extremely Cheap-Looking

Batman And Harley Quinn Nightwing
Warner Bros.

Overly low-budget animation is a common complaint about Warner Bros' animated movies, and sadly this is one of the more unfortunate and blatant cases to date.

The film has clearly been churned out at a small cost for a quick buck, so the animation has a stilted look to it, with a low frame-rate, generally uninspired shot selections and only the most necessary character movements.

There are very few moments where this film actually looks good visually, instead touting a generic, forgettable aesthetic that's got nothing on the better Batman animations.

There are talented, unemployed artists everywhere who will no doubt be infuriated that something so rough actually got a licensed release.
