6. Two Face - Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight)

Despite Talia Al Ghul being bad partly because her turn to villainy comes so late, Aaron Eckhart's Two Face is testament to how great an impact a briefly-seen villain can still have. It helps, of course, that his characterisation as Harvey Dent is perfect too.

Having been Gotham's shining saviour, Dent is twisted into the Joker's finest creation and his most impressive victory over Batman. He is a walking, talking finishing move that not only announces Joker's true victory but who is also terrifying in his own respect.

The character design is great, but it wouldn't work without the vulnerability, anger and pain behind it thanks to Eckhart. He's like a chaotic stripped nerve and while he has rules, you get the sense that he's only ever seconds away from breaking them to sate his bloodlust.
