Batman Reboot: 10 Essential Villains And Who Should Play Them

4. Harley Quinn - Amanda Seyfried

amanda seyfried I chose Harley Quinn over Black Mask for a specific reason. I know many may argue with my decision and I argued with myself over it, but the Bat films have lacked in the female villain category. Marion Cotillard did a wonderful job as Miranda Tate/Talia (I have no problem with the death scene). Still, more female characters as a whole are needed. Harley Quinn€™s origin is interesting. She was a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum whom was assigned to treating The Joker. He used his sadistic charm to sway her towards his side and she fell in love with him. He basically transformed her it a sick and twisted female version of himself. She is undoubtedly loyal to him. It€™s an interesting dynamic to view; how The Joker can poison someone mind and the affect he has on them. Now Batman sees how The Joker can influence people on such a hig level; he can have a partner of his own like Bats. Amanda Seyfried is a known name throughout Hollywood. At such a young age, she has amassed many good films and a solid reputation as an actress. She recently played in Les Miserables, and is also known for Mean Girls, Mamma Mia!, In Time and Red Riding Hood. The reason I think she€™s great for this part is her turn in an indie film titled Chloe. She plays a depraved prostitute and it's a wholly underrated performance She can also quickly can turn form nice to angry, and that€™s what€™s needed to play Harley Quinn. She has charming sadism to her. Seyfried€™s performance in Chloe attests to her ability to play this role. She could be as sadistic and twisted as Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo; a performance akin to that maybe. Obviously, she€™s a beautiful woman as Harley is known for being attractive.
