Batman Reboot: 5 Reasons It NEEDS To Be Hush

2. The Bat Family Plays A Huge Role

Bat Family It always seemed like Burton and Nolan€™s films were about a guy named Bruce Wayne who dressed up as Batman instead of what the reality of the comics and the wonderful Batman: the Animated Series taught us - that Batman pretends to be Bruce Wayne. I don€™t know about anyone else but in The Dark Knight Rises I felt that the amount of screen time Bruce spent as Batman left a lot to be desired, and I feel that the next Batman film needs to be precisely that. We've seen Bruce Wayne rises (and falls in love), riding off into the sunset on a tidal wave created by the nuclear blast that somehow didn't total Gotham. The great thing about Hush is that it€™s a Batman story, not a Bruce Wayne story - he only appears as Bruce Wayne a few times, and a lot of those times are in the Batcave. In a lot of ways the book is all about Batman€™s history. Batman€™s narration not only gives us insight into his villains, but he also tells us about his relationships with Nightwing, Alfred, Robin, Jim Gordon, Barbara Gordon, and Superman. Hush is effectively a greatest hits of Batman lore. Throughout the graphic novel Batman goes over his history with just about everyone involved in the story which provides a great way of having characters show up without having to go through a huge origin story with everyone. Also, did I mention that at one point Batman goes to Metropolis and fights Superman? Which leads me to my last point€
