Batman V Superman: 10 Biggest New Reveals From Zack Snyder's Live Commentary

6. Why Wonder Woman Led The Trinity

As cool as it may have been to see Wonder Woman in action in Batman v Superman, her addition to the film felt a tad random, and some fans weren't on board with Diana Prince leading the Caped Crusader and Man of Steel into battle given their lack of history together. Well, there's a good reason for that, and it's not just down to the Amazon warrior's popularity!

During this live commentary, Snyder explained that Wonder Woman took the lead in the fight against Doomsday because she has more experience than Batman and Superman combined.

While the latter may have saved the planet defeating General Zod, that was his only fight in the DCEU before Batman v Superman. As for the Dark Knight, while he had been battling crime in Gotham City for decades, Snyder explains that Wonder Woman led the Trinity because she's fought many monsters over the centuries and was best qualified to take the fight to Lex Luthor's creation.

It's an explanation which does make sense, but it doesn't really address how Batman and Superman would know that, and why they would led this apparent newcomer lead the charge against one of the greatest threats this world had ever faced.
