It seems that the trajectory of BvS will be as follows: Lex Luthor manipulates a feud between Batman and Superman, and presumably at the end, they team up to take on Lex Luthor. Still, doesn't it seem a bit... empty? Luthor's not exactly a big physical threat, and so he needs something else up his sleeve, like an alien villain in his employ? Could the likes of Doomsday, Darkseid, Metallo or any of Supes' iconic comic book adversaries be showing up? The Likely Answer: Almost certainly. Expect an additional villain to play a smaller part in the narrative, but it seems likely given the presumed structure of the plot and how an extraordinary threat will be needed to measure up to the ultimate teaming-up of Batman and Superman at the end of the movie.
