Batman V Superman: 10 Completely CGI Moments You Didn’t Notice
8. Batman's Big Entrance
Just before Batman beats up a load of thugs (again, a great trailer scene), he jumps off his Bat-plane and through a window, with his cape billowing beautifully behind him. It's a lovely shot, and a prime example of how Zack Snyder really understands the iconography of Batman.
The FX reels shows the lead up to this moment being filmed practically, with one of Batfleck's stuntmen clambering out of the plane and onto a green screen structure, but this shot - with the jump and the window smash - was pure CGI.
There is no window, no glass, no plane and no Batman actor in this frame. It's just pixels, which proves how far visual effects have come. This digital Batman looks a million times more realistic than other CGI doubles, including the artificial Grant Gustin they use sometimes on The Flash.
