Batman V Superman: 10 Reasons Man Of Steel Is Better
5. The Action Is Vastly Superior
This one in particular is pretty hard to take. Man of Steel is of course best remembered by many for its utterly insane third-act set-piece, an extremely long (and some might say exhausting), Metropolis-wide slug-fest between Superman, Zod and Faora that, despite the destruction controversy, is pretty damn fun.
Now, the Batman-Superman fight in BvS is pretty entertaining, but for a movie with this title, the fact we have to wait until it's 2/3 over to see the two square off is ridiculous, and the single fight ends up lasting less than 10 minutes, which is absurd. Most fans were surely expecting a fight where Superman wins, a fight where Batman stages a comeback later and wins, and then the final showdown against Doomsday.
As for the final fight, it's certainly got length on its side, but it's sadly rendered frequently incomprehensible due to Doomsday's fairly dodgy CGI and some questionable directorial choices. Man of Steel just seems far more sure of itself in this regard, which is a damn shame given the potential BvS had here.
