This curious tidbit stems from a recently released plot synopsis, which reads And Lex Luthor, who hates Superman more than anyone, is manipulating both of them for his own twisted ends. Obviously, its not much of a shock that the cinematic Luthor is going to be some sort of master manipulator. What is surprising, however, is that were being lead to believe that hes got the strategic upper hand on Batman, of all people. Batman, who is known the be the most paranoid of people around and one of the greatest detectives in the world, is no easy person to fool. This could mean that Ben Afflecks Bruce Wayne may be less competent than were used to or, more probably, Jesse Eisenbergs Lex Luthor is going to be incredibly cunning and clever. The trailers certainly make it look like Batmans hatred of Superman stems from the destruction he allowed to befall Metropolis during the climax of Man Of Steel, but perhaps theres something else. Could Lex Luthor have a role in why Bruce Wayne is so distrusting of Superman?
