1. Christian Bale Will Appear
The Rumour: Following on from the "Batman is Deathstroke" theory, many fans felt that this twist would leave room for Christian Bale to emerge as the "real" Batman later on in the movie. Slightly more sensible rumours otherwise stated that he would cameo as an entirely new character.
How Much We Believed It: Not in the slightest. The former idea is just lunacy and though the latter has sound logic (that Bale playing somebody else would make it clear that Affleck's Batman is in another continuity), it does seems rather on-the-nose even for Zack Snyder's heavy-handed standards. Nothing but skepticism here. 1/10
The Truth: Bale was nowhere to be seen, shockingly enough, and said it best himself: "I think its pretty clear that Ben is playing Batman now."
