Batman V Superman: 18 Easter Eggs & Theories On The Soundtrack Titles

2. They Were Hunters (Bonus Track)

It's impossible not to think of Martian Manhunters when you hear the word "hunter" spoken in relation to a DC property. That would be a particularly odd curve-ball though, as there's no suggestion at all that the Manhunter is going to be joining the Justice League any time soon, especially with David S Goyer writing (he's been pretty open about his dislike of the character. What's more intriguing is recalling Goyer's actual assessment of Martian Manhunter for a podcast called Scriptnotes:

"He can€™t be f*cking called the Martian Manhunter because that€™s goofy. He can be called Manhunter€ The whole deal with Martian Manhunter is he€™s an alien living amongst us€ So he comes down to Earth and decides, unlike Superman who already exists in the world now, that he€™s just going to be a homicide detective€ So instead of using super-powers and mind-reading and like, oh, I could figure out if the President€™s lying or whatever, he just decides to disguise himself as a human homicide detective. Dare to dream!€

€œI would set it up like The Day After Tomorrow. We discover one of those Earth-like planets€ So maybe like€ we get the DNA code from that planet and then grow him in a petri dish here€ He€™s like in Area 51 or something and we€™re just basically€ doing biopsies on him. Then he gets out and he€™s really angry and he f*cks She-Hulk"

Wait... an alien figure grown in a petri-dish on Earth? Did Goyer reveal the plot of Batman V Superman back in 2014? Aside from insulting geeks and She-Hulk, he seems to have at least partly taken himself seriously with the writing of what is assumed to be Doomsday. In narrative terms, the "hunters" comment could either refer to Batman's nightmarish vision of Superman's forces hunting their enemies, or perhaps the creatures assumed to be parademons? Or maybe this is how Luthor sells the Kryptonians?

1. Fight Night (Bonus Track)

Another simple one that simple seems to suggest one of the tracks that will be played over some of the action. Expect it to be ear-burstingly booming. What else did you pick up from the Batman V Superman soundtrack? Share your thoughts below in the comments thread.
