5. The Action Will Be Bloody And Brutal Like The Dark Knight Returns
The reputation of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice will hinge on its action scenes. Even if Henry Cavills Superman remains fairly unlikeable, some visceral and engaging central fights may be enough to win over the DC fan base. Comic book fans will want to see some bloody and brutal battles, to draw to mind Frank Millers The Dark Knight Returns comic. This runs influence on the film is already obvious. Theres the heavily armoured Bat-suit, a stormy Gotham night and even a shot of Superman slowly descending from the sky: all direct lifts from Millers excellent comics. If the fights can maintain Millers brutal portrayal of these two heroes duking it out (complete with blood, kicks to the face and serious danger), fans will be very happy indeed.
